Diet and Exercise

A healthy diet and exercise are the initial steps in managing diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and many other ailments. Most doctors recommend these lifestyle modifications before prescribing drugs, and an active lifestyle can even help prevent the incidence of heart disease and diabetes.

As we grow older, our arteries get clogged up with fat, cholesterol, and lipids, leading to the formation of atherosclerotic plaques. These plaques narrow up the vessels and results in hypertension and heart problems. By eating a healthy diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, and fiber, you can reduce the risk of forming these harmful plaques.

Moderate exercise is also greatly beneficial and incorporating at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity in your routine every day will show great results. Exercise helps to reduce obesity, lowers cholesterol levels, and prevents the formation of plaques that will block the arteries.

Leading a healthy lifestyle will not only prolong your life, but it will also keep you away from many diseases!
